When you access a on the Internet, the DNS saves in your Windows cache. This improves the speed and performance at which you can locate the domain again the next time you enter it into your browser. If the DNS cache is old and the domain changes to a new location, you may have problems accessing it when it's entered into the browser's navigation text box. You can clear the DNS cache and fix some browsing issues.

     Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Run." Enter "cmd" into the text box and click "OK." This opens your Windows command line.

     Type "ipconfig /displaydns" to view your current DNS cache. You can also type "ipconfig /all" to view all DNS settings, your IP address and the default gateway you use to access the Internet.

     Type "ipconfig /flushdns" into the command line and press "Enter." The DNS flush only takes a few seconds to clear your cache.
